  1. I would think it is quite rare for the risk to actually be 0% though. You’d need high pressure, zero cloud and no chance of a shower building. Can’t be many days in a year that the risk is truly 0%.

  2. No rain today so far, when there was a 40% at 14:00 and a 30% chance between 16:00 and 20:00.

So yesterday when there was a 10% chance there was much rain and today when there was a 40% chance there was none.

It will probably rain this evening when the probability is <5%.

Apparently there have been quite a few thunder storms across the UK today.

  3. “I don’t think I need to remind anyone here that a 10% chance of rain does NOT mean it will not rain.”

Since I don’t think MO forecasts *EVER* forecast a zero chance rain, that means their forecast can never be wrong!

  4. Yesterday I had rain from 15:00 to 20:00 totalling 6.0 mm when all the MO forecasted was cloud, with only a 10% chance of rain.

At Albemarle they had “Heavy Rain” from 16:00 to 19:00 when only light rain was forecasted.

Today there is a forecast of light showers for the afternoon.
